London, UK, 10 February 2016 Neos Networks, the UK’s leading provider of network infrastructure and part of the SSE Group – today announced that it has upgraded Mother Technologies’ core network between its head office in Europe’s oil and gas capital, Aberdeen, and London to boost the firm’s network coverage nationwide, while supporting its recent expansion in Scotland.
Having predominantly served the Aberdeen market for the last 12 years as an IT support and connectivity provider, Mother Technologies recently broadened its remit with a range of cloud hosting services and has opened new offices in Edinburgh and Glasgow. To cope with the additional network capacity demand stemming from the increase in services and the geographical expansion, Neos Networks delivered a new 1Gb core connection, which improves the company’s ability to scale and supports plans for future growth.
“With added demand for our services from within Scotland and further afield, we needed to ensure that we could continue to meet the high expectations we’ve set as a company,” said Steve Redhead, managing director of Mother Technologies. “The upgraded core network connection, between our headquarters in Aberdeen and London, ensures that our new and existing customers benefit from a high capacity UK-wide network.”
He continued: “As any rapidly growing business will tell you, having a scalable and ultra-reliable network in place is paramount. We now have the peace of mind that we can continue to grow our customer base without our network capacity hampering the level of service we’re able to provide.”
Key to Mother Technologies decision to enlist Neos Networks with the network upgrade was the strong existing partnership between the two companies. Neos Networks’ account director and engineers were in constant communication with Mother Technologies engineers to ensure that any issues were immediately resolved without delaying the project, which was completed within just a couple of months.
“As well as focusing on strengthening its presence in Scotland and deepening existing customer relationships, Mother Technologies also needed a high capacity connection to London in order to meet the needs of its growing UK-wide client base,” said Colin Sempill, managing director of Neos Networks. “Our excellent existing relationship gave Mother Technologies the confidence that its network would be upgraded quickly and easily by the same team that it has trusted for many years to deliver.”
With added demand for our services from within Scotland and further afield, we needed to ensure that we could continue to meet the high expectations we’ve set as a company.
