Neos Networks has partnered with HighNet, Scotland’s leading telecoms service provider, to extend their network UK-wide in the next phase of their growth plan.
HighNet launched their own Internet Service Provider (ISP) network in early 2012 and needed a partner able to deliver a scalable UK-wide solution with a geographical footprint most beneficial to their clients. The solution had to fulfill HighNet’s rapid growth plans to deliver their extensive services over a secure high capacity network.
Neos Networks’ solution consists of a virtual private network that connects seven essential locations: Inverness, Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Strathclyde, West of Scotland, Manchester and London. Certain sites also provide co-location services for storage, replication and business applications. This platform enables HighNet to deliver extended voice, data and mobile services to existing clients with a multi-site UK presence.
The considerable investment in the network will be worthwhile, as Dave Siegel, Managing Director of HighNet, explained: “businesses need high-quality bandwidth with genuine reliability to enable them to grow in this digital age. By building our own ISP network including SSE’s data centre capability across the country, we’ve laid the foundations from which we can deliver the connectivity and infrastructure that our partners and end-user customers need.”
Commenting on the partnership, Chris Jagusz, Managing Director of Neos Networks, said: “HighNet’s extended footprint opens up a whole new range of services for existing customers as well as a platform for new business. We are pleased to be working alongside HighNet to deliver the next phase of their growth plans now and over the coming years.”
About HighNet
Founded in 1994 by Flora Siegel, Highland Network Ltd was set up to offer innovative and ground-breaking least cost telephone call routing services in the Highlands of Scotland. To reflect this growth, they rebranded as HighNet in 2000, and after purchasing of their own billing platform in 2001, they have grown to become Scotland’s leading business telecommunications provider, offering a wide range of voice, data and mobile solutions. They now provide access to a full product range from the UK’s largest telecoms suppliers, ensuring quality and value for money for businesses throughout the UK and abroad. Their vast depth of experience, a product range and skill set ensures that HighNet provides a service that is second to none.
By building our own ISP network including SSE Group’s data centre capability across the country, we’ve laid the foundations from which we can deliver the connectivity and infrastructure that our partners and end-user customers need.
