This latest independent certification cements Neos Networks’ Ethernet solutions as compliant with the highest industry standard

LONDON, UK, 1 August 2019 Neos Networks, one of the UK’s leading connectivity suppliers, announces today that it is the first UK-based telecom organisation to receive MEF 3.0 Carrier Ethernet (CE) services certification.

The certification now means that Neos Networks can offer E-line, E-Access, E-LAN and E-Tree services, adding further credibility to Neos Networks quality of service. MEF 3.0 CE certification is the latest iteration of the accreditation, enabling communication service and technology providers to validate their solutions as compliant with the highest industry standards for performance, assurance and agility. On top of the solution certifications awarded, 18 Neos Networks team members also underwent technical accreditation training to be able to deliver these services to MEF’s global standards.

Network investment mission

Becoming accredited with the latest security and industry standards provides customers the peace of mind that comes with a robust network like Neos Networks’. The Optical and Ethernet services Neos Networks offers are CAS(T) accredited (Communications Electronics Security Group Assured Services in Telecommunications) which is a testament to the business’ standards. The government-grade accreditation certifies that Neos Networks’ systems and services are adequately protected against risks to the confidentiality, integrity and availability of classified information.

Further to this, the MEF 3.0 CE certification helps Neos Networks’ mission towards expanding its reach through the Edge 3 programme. The project will see 177 BT exchanges unbundled and on-net by 2020, to increase overall network reach by 132%, servicing 180,000 new UK business postcodes. Upon completion, Neos Networks’ 12,000+ km private telecoms network will reach a total of 435,000+ postcodes and bring connectivity speeds of up to 100Gbps to UK businesses.

Colin Sempill, Chief Executive at Neos Networks said: “Our goal as a telecoms business is to provide the highest quality Ethernet products and services for our customers. With the latest MEF 3.0 CE certification we’re able to assure our clients that our offering can adhere to the highest capacity and excellence standards in the industry. The accreditation also supports the expansion of our network reach with Edge 3 and our overall market reach in the UK.”

Kevin Vachon, COO at MEF: “MEF congratulates Neos Networks for achieving MEF 3.0 certification of Access E-Line, E-Line, E-LAN, and E-Tree services.
